A dumpster rental in Richmond runs $295 to $425, depending on the size and how long you keep it. That's the full answer, and it isn't a starting-at teaser. The 12-yard is $295 for one day, $325 for three days, $375 for a week. The 16-yard is $325, $375 and $425 for the same three windows. Delivery, pickup and the dump fee are inside every one of those numbers, and there's no sales tax, because dumpster rental is a service and Indiana doesn't tax services.
Most companies around here won't put their prices on a website. You call, they take your number, somebody quotes you back. Jeff publishes his because he keeps them a little cheaper than the bigger companies and doesn't mind you checking. His customers put it more bluntly than he does. One review says "save yourself the calls, they are the cheapest around."
The one thing that changes the price is what you put in the dumpster. Ordinary household and remodel debris, furniture, drywall, carpet, cabinets, is a flat rate with no weight math at all. Concrete, dirt, shingles, and plaster and lath are different. Those four include 1,000 pounds, and past that it's $50 a ton, taken off the scale ticket rather than estimated. They also go in the 12-yard only, never the 16, because dense material hits the trailer's legal weight long before it fills a taller wall.
That rule isn't fine print, and Jeff won't treat it like fine print. He asks every caller what the project is before he quotes it, so if your load is heavy you'll know exactly where you stand before the dumpster shows up. What you won't find is a fuel surcharge, a delivery fee inside the service area, an environmental fee, or any of the other lines that appear on some invoices after the fact.
If you're weighing the two sizes, the week on the 16-yard costs $50 more than the week on the 12, and it holds about a third more. For a full-house cleanout that gap is far cheaper than a second delivery. For a heavy load the choice makes itself, because heavy material only rides in the 12.
